Daniel Hosenberg | visual artist

Born 1985 in Carinthia (Austria, Europe), studied from 2007 to 2010 at HfbK Hamburg in Germany. This was followed by work stays and exhibitions in the USA, Italy, Slovenia, Ukraine, Germany and Austria. Based in Vienna, Austria.

In a loud, fast paced world, only blurred fragments and fleeting details remain. What stays behind is an intuition, a feeling, an echo. Hosenberg captures these scattered pieces of reality, gathered primarily during long walks through the city using photographs, notes, and raw memory.

Transforming the noise of everyday life into colorful and dynamic artworks that hover between photography and painting, he deliberately steps away from traditional conventions. Instead, he tests the possibilities of materials and technologies, blending them freely to shape the final piece. His compositions do not end at the physical edge. Instead, they invite the viewer to envision the scene continuing beyond the frame.

To preserve the magic of discovery, Hosenberg reveals his process, but never imposes a specific interpretation on his images. This leaves the viewer space to explore independently, connect with personal memories, and enter into an intimate dialogue with the artwork.
